William was first introduced to karting in 2022 when he was 10 years old because his sister used to go rental karting, which William was never interested in! One year he had a go and absolutely loved it, this is when Will knew he wanted to do something in karting / motorsport for the rest of his life! 

He started a hire kart championship at our local track, Rye House. He finished the championship and instantly wanted to go to the next level.  After being bought a Honda Cadet kart he then started competing in IKR events at tracks including Rye House, Red Lodge and Buckmore Park. 

William started to get the taste of podiums and winning in his first year and it only made him want it more.  After a year doing Honda Cadet we decided to take the next step into mini max. This was the old mini max so it wasn't on the 950 chassis. For William to take the next step, he needed to join a bigger team where he could learn both new tracks and driving techniques from more experienced drivers.

Initially, William joined the Synergy Factory Team, where he competed in both Mini Max and Junior Max categories and started racing at bigger tracks including Paul Fletcher International (PFI) and Whilton Mill.

Thereafter, William moved to the ZIP factory team founded by karting legend Martin Hines, the former team of current F1 driver Lewis Hamilton. William learnt a lot from Earl and Luke and claimed his first Junior win when he was crowned the London Cup Junior Rotax Champion which has previously been won by some famous drivers including Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton.

To grow and develop further, William then moved to Hunter Motorsport, under the guidance or renowned drivers Kai and Reece Hunter.

William then moved to SPR, which would allow him gain experience of European events, developing him as a driver! We were starting to get some good results, including our first European win, in Genk, Belgium. 

This led William to his current team, KR Sport. William joined KR Sport in Junior Rotax in 2025. This was a hard season for him as he ended up 6kg overweight, a massive disadvantage in this competitive series.

This year William has moved up to Senior Rotax continuing his journey with KR Sport. Back on a level playing field, William has had an impressive run of results in both the UK and Europe and we are excited for a strong 2026.

For 2027, he hopes to start his transition into car racing, ideally British F4.

William's dream is to become a professional racing driver.
